“FREE TEXTS: An Open Source Reading Room,” is a new commission for the Zero1 Biennial 2012 in San Jose. Featuring a reading lounge, a curated selection of texts on copyright law, piracy, open source culture, creative commons, artistic agency, and gift economies; a flyer wall with tear-off tabs; and an on-site production area. The exhibition runs September 13 – December 8, 2012. I update the flyer wall as tabs get torn off the flyers and also add to the reading selection by soliciting people for suggestions. The production desk has a laserjet printer and thermal bookbinder that I use to produce all the books on site.

I am incredibly excited by how it turned out and you can see more images on my flickr site as well!
