Last Thursday, December 2nd saw the insanely jam-packed Shadowshop Artist Party (“Miami For the Rest of Us”). Happening at the same time as Miami Art Basel, SFMOMA hosted a decidedly more affordable soiree for Shadowshop, which included thousands of wares by almost 200 Bay Area artists. Also featured was the grand unveiling of Packard Jennings’ new commission for the store, “Vito Acconci.” Video and images here:

In the short time that Shadowshop has been open (November 18 – December 7, 2010), approximately $31,000 has been made in sales, with 100% of it going directly to the artists.
