I love smart articles on the so-called Third World. I especially love when they include healthy doses of cultural analysis, pop culture, and scholarly references. So goes this lovely little blog piece by Ghanaian writer Koranteng Ofosu-Amaah:

“Bags and Stamps”

And I am also tickled to see his flickr site, which hosts a plethora of great images from Drum Magazine, Ghana, 1969 (can someone say “era of post-colonial independence”?) and collections of shipping bags and containers. Love it!
