The Autonomous Manufacturing Zone

From a new series of drawings/collages on duralene (a clearish, almost vellum-like paper) called “strange attractors.” I trace objects in catalogs and magazines, overlap them on the duralene, and then outline it in black to create an aggregate “blob.” The blobs are then juxtaposed with cutouts of modernist or Empire-style furniture. Still working out the ideas behind this series but I like the oddness of it…
